Arrival & Departure Information

Entry Information -  Entry to the property is available from 16.00 on the day of arrival (unless alternative arrangements have been made).  We will normally arrange to meet you at the property and ask that you phone 01369 701146 or Graeme 07917 676609 or Jude 07721 468039 shortly before your arrival so we can meet you.  (If travelling by ferry, please call just as the ferry is leaving the pier at McInroy’s Point.  If driving by the A815, please call when you are between St Catherine’s & Strachur.)  Alternatively a set of keys may have been sent to you or left with a neighbour.

Parking -  There is parking for two cars immediately in front of the property.

Shops -  The Cot House filling station at the head of the Holy Loch (5 mins drive on the A815 to the north) has a well stocked licensed convenience store, selling papers, basic groceries etc and is open long hours daily.  The General Store is a small, basic convenience store in Sandbank (1 min drive on the A815 to the south).  In Dunoon there is a full range of traditional independent shops including butchers, bakers, delis, outdoor shops, hardware shops, galleries etc as well as some well known chain names.  There is a well stocked health food store, Eco Health & Grain Store, and a good wine merchant,  Argyll Vintners, both on Hillfoot Street.  On Marine Parade there is a good deli, Delicate Essence, which can also supply ready-cooked meals.  If you wish to be relieved of the necessity to prepare and cook any special meals or dinners, such as birthday or anniversary dinners, Alison Sykora of Real Food Consultancy (07786 936209) can be engaged to cater for any special meals you may wish to have prepared and served.  The local game dealer,  Winston Churchill (01369 704517), can supply a wide range of high quality venison and game.  The two main supermarkets in Dunoon are both open seven days a week, Morrisons, John Street (08.00-20.00 Mo-Sa; 09.00-18.00 Su) and Co-Op, Queen St (08.00-22.00 Mo-Sa; 09.00-19.00 Su).  Slightly further afield, the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar Seafood Shop sells a wide range of smoked and fresh seafood and game products together with many gourmet groceries, fine wines and beers.  Fyne Ales at the head of Loch Fyne brew and sell a range of very good beers, ciders etc. 

Facilities Within The Property -  Information is available on arrival which will tell you where to find items such as iron, high chair, spare light bulbs, cleaning materials etc. 

Departure -  Please vacate the property by 10.00 on the morning of departure (unless alternative arrangements have been made).  Please turn off all the storage heaters at the switches on the wall beside each heater and please turn off the water heater at the switch beside the cooker.  Please close and latch all windows, lock the back and front doors and post the keys back through the letterbox.  Your deposit will be returned to you by internet banking or cheque within a few days once the property has been inspected after your departure.
